On one of our road trips, the day was cool enough for Pop to leave me in the car while he went
 in a big building to eat lunch. I watched people pass by. I laid down. I sniffed the window and made nose art for Pop. I got really bored so I jumped in the back seat and pawed around the stuff he packed for us. I think that dude’s a mind-reader ‘cause when I looked up to see if he was watching me through the food place window, our eyes met and he instantly knew I had found the motherload of good. He came running — fast. I was faster. Those were the best five jelly donuts ever.
